The DOT (Department of Transportation) requires companies that employ individuals with CDLs (Commercial Drivers License) to follow very strict regulations. If a driver ever tests dirty for drugs or alcohol, the DOT requires an assessment by a DOT certified SAP (Substance Abuse Professional).
